Message Of Hope For Drug Recovery Displayed In Freehold
Participants in Recovery Court have created a "Tree of Hope" piece on display until Sept. 23 at the Monmouth County Courthouse in Freehold.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A "Tree of Hope" original artwork created by Recovery Court participants is on display at the the West Wing entrance of the Monmouth County Courthouse.
The three-dimensional work was created in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day on Aug. 31, according to the courts. The courthouse is at 71 Monument Park, Freehold.
The display includes wording that explains the significance of the tree. Each Recovery Court client was asked to reflect on his or her journey by placing a cardinal, leaf or flower on the tree. The cardinal represents a loved one lost to an overdose, the leaf represents their aspirations while in recovery, and a flower indicates something they have already achieved.
