'Honoring Our Heroes': Monmouth County Clerk’s Office Wins At Garden State Film Festival

The winning public service announcement highlights the clerk's discount program for veterans and Gold Star families.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The Monmouth County Clerk’s public service announcement, “Honoring Our Heroes,” was recently named Best PSA at the 24th annual Garden State Film Festival, Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon said.

The PSA highlights the Monmouth County Clerk’s discount program for veterans and Gold Star families and calls upon business owners to join the growing directory of 260+ participating businesses.

“This award is such an honor, not only because the Garden State Film Festival is such a significant event here in Monmouth County, but because this film is particularly important,” said Clerk Hanlon, who served as the Executive Producer of the PSA.

“This public service announcement is a call to action to honor our veterans and Gold Star family members for their great sacrifices to protect our freedom.”

The 30-second spot is available for viewing on the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office YouTube Channel.

The Garden State Film Festival, an independent film festival held annually in Asbury Park and Cranford, also recognized two other films co-produced by Clerk Hanlon.

As Co-Chairs of the MonmouthNJ 250 Committee, Clerk Hanlon and Commission Director Tom Arnone both served as Executive Producers of “Monmouth County at War: Rebels, Raiders and Revolution,” which won best Home Grown Documentary Feature and “History with Hanlon & Arnone,” which won best Home Grown Web Series.
