Moore's Tavern & Restaurant: Getting Moore's For Your Money

Eat well without having to travel far.

Trying to figure out where to meet an old friend for drinks? Need a place to watch the game with some buddies? Just want to kick back with a drink and enjoy some live music? Moore's Tavern has you covered with a restaurant, bar, 14 flat screen HD televisions and live music three nights a week.

First opened in Freehold in 1787 as an inn, Moore's Tavern dishes up traditional tavern fare like pizza and burgers alongside tasty selections from the grill like  sirloins and ribeyes.

The dining room is open every day till 10 p.m. and the bar stays open late, 1 a.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends. Catch $2.25 domestic pints and half-price apps Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on the weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Favorite dishes include the combination platter, hummus, buffalo chicken dip, Tavern stacker, chicken pot pie, margherita pie, hickory smoked baby back ribs and chicken Ceasar wrap.

Moore's Tavern is featuring live music this weekend (and every weekend) with Paul Cilinski on Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Temporary Grace performs on Friday from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and Saturday features Moondoggie, also from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
