New Burger Restaurant Opens In Freehold: See Details

Located on E. Main Street, Smash Bunz offers signature burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings and more.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A new burger restaurant has officially opened its doors in Freehold.

Located at 31 E. Main Street, Smash Bunz held its soft opening in mid-April, bringing burgers, wings, shakes and more to the local community.

Founded by “a woman with a passion for perfectly smashed patties,” the new restaurant started as an idea and grew into “a movement rooted in flavor, quality, and authenticity,” according to their website.

“Every detail is intentional. Every bun is perfectly toasted. Every patty is smashed fresh to lock in flavor. Every bite is crafted to stand out,” the website reads.

“This isn’t just about burgers, it’s about doing things differently. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just strong, honest food made with purpose.”

Known for signature burgers such as the Hot Smash Burger and Inferno Smash Stack, Smash Bunz also offers menu options such as chicken sandwiches, vegetarian and vegan burgers, wings and chicken tenders, shakes and more.

The restaurant also offers “UFO burgers,” which are served in closed brioche buns. All of the restaurant’s meat is halal certified.

“We’re truly overwhelmed by the love and support you showed us on our opening day,” Smash Bunz said in an online post. “The response has been incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start!”

Smash Bunz is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Saturday.
