NY NJ PA Weather: Muggy Conditions Today
Fog is expected to give way to muggy conditions, then return tonight. Isolated showers possible

Areas of fog and low clouds Monday morning illustrate the muggy conditions in place Monday morning with temperatures in the mid-60s to lower 70s for lows with a relative humidity near 100 percent. While showers are not expected to be a threat for most locations, the areas of fog will hang around until 10 a.m., leading to visibility below 2 miles in some locations.
Once the fog lifts later Monday morning, scattered clouds can be expected with an extremely isolated shower possible. Fog will redevelop late Monday night on through Tuesday morning as high pressure moves over the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas. Scattered clouds can be expected for Tuesday. Winds will be from the southwest at around 5 mph through Tuesday.
Temperatures Monday afternoon will rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast and lower to mid 80s throughout the rest of the northern Mid-Atlantic. Lower temperatures tonight will fall into the mid to upper 50s over the interior, lower to mid-60s in the suburbs, and mid to upper 60s in urban areas and along the coast. Temperatures Tuesday afternoon will rise into the lower to mid 80s along the coast and mid to upper 80’s throughout the rest of the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas.
A cold front will move through the northern Mid-Atlantic on Wednesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected. The thunderstorms are currently expected to remain below severe levels but will be capable of wind gusts over 40 mph, heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and small hail. Winds will veer form the southwest to northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60s for lows and lower to mid-80s for highs.
High pressure will be in control Thursday on through Sunday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover expected. Temperatures will average near to slightly below normal. Low temperatures will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s. High Temperatures will range from the upper 70s to lower 80s along the coast and lower to mid 80s for highs.
