Obituary: Agny Bergendahl, 89
Agny Bergendahl was a wife, mother and retired sales representative for Macy's.

Agny “Ann” Bergendahl, 89, of Freehold Township, died Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Applewood Estates. She was born in Lista, Norway and had lived in the Huguenot section of Staten Island before moving to Freehold Township in 2009. Bergendahl was a sales representative for Macy’s Department Store, Staten Island before retiring 24 years ago. She was a member of the Sons of Norway Nansen Lodge #3-410, Staten Island and a life member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War. Bergendahl enjoyed her travels with the residents of Applewood Estates.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Bergendahl, in March 2005. Bergendahl is survived by two daughters, Joan McMahon and her husband, Kenneth, of Freehold Township; Gail Sheldon and her husband, Jack, of West Des Moines, Iowa; a son, Robert E. Bergendahl Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Londonderry, New Hampshire; a sister, Elsie Matson, of North Merrick, Long Island; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visiting at the , 100 Elton-Adelphia Road in Freehold Township, on Monday, Nov. 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 203 Taylors Mills Road in Manalapan.
