Obituary: Elia Mottola, 74

Mottola, 74 of Jackson was a born and raised in Freehold and was a security guard at the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City.

Elia Mottola, 74, of Jackson Township, died on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born and raised in Freehold, Mottola has resided in Jackson for the past five years. Prior to his retirement, Mottola worked at the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City as a security guard.

Mottola is survived by his wife, Lisa; niece, Debra Garofano of Jackson; nephew Anthony Mottola of Romeoville, IL; great nephew, Michael Mottola of IL; great niece, Nicole Wallace of Howell; and great great niece, Andie Lee Wallace.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the located on 47 East Main Street in Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at in Freehold. Interment will follow at the in Freehold.
