Obituary: George Thomas Herudek, 68

George Thomas Herudek was a congregant of First Assembly of God.

George Thomas Herudek, 68, of Jackson, died Sunday, Oct. 16 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. Herudek was born in Morristown and was raised and had lived in Cedar Knolls. He moved to Jackson then to Freehold before returning to Jackson in 2006. He was an auditor for the NJ Department of Motor Vehicles before retiring in 2001. Prior to that, Herudek owned Iris Meadow Farms, raising and training Arabian horses, and also was a controller at Air Cruisers in Wall. He was a member of the in Freehold Township and also a member of the men’s fellowship at the church. Herudek loved his family but most of all adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Lois Herudek. He is survived by his wife, Johanna Herudek; a son, William Chamberlain, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Highlands; two daughters, Sandra Siroky, of Columbia, and Karen Davis and her husband, Raymond, of Egg Harbor Township; seven grandchildren, William Chamberlain III, Christian Chamberlain, Magick Vasto and her husband, Christopher, Justin Siroky, Katherine Emily Siroky, Raymond Davis, and Courtney Jo Davis; two great-grandsons, Charles Joseph and Dylan Michael; one brother, Jack Herduek, of Cedar Knolls; three sisters, Roberta Grabowski, Beverly McLaughlin, and Nancy Carey and her husband, Joseph, all of Cedar Knolls; and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends may gather at , 100 Elton-Adelphia Road in Freehold Township, on Friday, Oct. 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at the First Assembly of God, 272 Jackson Mills Road in Freehold Township, on Nov. 12 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Herudek may be made to Feed All God’s Children, 91 Siloam Road, Freehold, NJ 07728.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit claytonfuneralhome.com.
