Obituary: Gerard M. Beirne, 61
Gerard M. Beirne was a husband and father and worked as a systems analyst.

Gerard "Rock" M. Beirne, 61, of Freehold Township, died on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Beirne was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn until moving to Freehold Township in 1985. He was a systems analyst for Prudential Insurance in Woodbridge.
Beirne is survived by his wife, Michelle; a daughter, Lauren Beirne, of Freehold Township; three brothers, Jimmy Beirne and his wife, Debbie, of Kentucky, Eddie Beirne and his wife, Margaret, of Brick, John Beirne, of Brooklyn; a sister, Mary Anne Beirne, of Brick; two brothers-in-law, Michael Griffin, of New York, and Mark Griffin, of Brooklyn; many nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Charlie and Lucy.
Visiting at the , 100 Elton-Adelphia Road in Freehold Township, on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 24 at 8:30 a.m. followed by his 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 100 North Main Street in Marlboro. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery in Marlboro. Contributions in memory of Beirne may be made to the Freehold First Aid Squad, PO Box 7065, Freehold, NJ 07728.
