Obituary: Margaret P. Snyder, 88

Margaret P. Snyder was a congregant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Margaret P. Snyder, 88, of Freehold, died Friday, Oct. 13 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. She was born in Freehold Township and was a lifelong resident of the area.

She was a title searcher for 26 years before her retirement in 1974.

Snyder was a member of , Freehold; a member and Past Matron of Molly Pitcher Chapter No. 198, Order of the Eastern Star; a charter member of the Monmouth County Title Abstractors Association; and a member of AARP.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart William Snyder, Sr. who died in 1962. A son, Terry L. Snyder, died in 2009.

Surviving are a brother, George D. Patten, of Ardena; two sisters, Alice Corrigan, of Toms River, and Joan Biddle, of Farmingdale; a stepson, Stewart W. Snyder, Jr.; a stepdaughter, Mildred Burns; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held at the , 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 12:15 p.m. with Rev. Francis A. Herbert of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church officiating. The interment will follow at Adelphia Cemetery in Adelphia. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Heart Association.
