One Dead, One Injured In Weekend Freehold Borough Shooting
After multiple 911 calls, officers reported to an incident near Jackson Street in Freehold Borough. 2 male victims were found at the scene.

FREEHOLD, NJ – One man is dead as a result of an early Saturday morning shooting in Freehold Borough, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. Another individual was found injured at the scene.
After multiple 911 calls, the Freehold Borough Police Department responded to an incident near 40 Jackson St. at approximately 1:04 a.m. on Aug. 1. Officers at the scene found 2 male victims: one deceased and another injured.
The deceased man was pronounced dead at approximately 2 a.m. The second individual was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Freehold Borough Police Department. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Det.
