Power Outage Closes Several Freehold Raceway Mall Stores
The power outage also affected traffic lights and a number of other businesses in the area, witnesses said.

FREEHOLD, NJ — Freehold Raceway Mall stores were forced to close for several hours on Thursday when an unspecified issue knocked out power to the mall and more than 2,000 homes and businesses in the area.
The power outage affected traffic signals on Route 9 and Route 537, Freehold Township police said. The department posted officers to direct traffic at busy intersections in the area.
The cause of the power outage was not known, but at one point the entire mall was out.

Power was restored to in the area in segments, with Freehold Township police saying it had been restored to traffic signals as of 1 p.m. Part of the mall was back online by about the same time, while the other half of the mall was restored by 2 p.m.
