Runners needed for TCS NYC Marathon

On November 2, the Central Jersey Dystonia Support and Action Group
will have its second team running in the TCS NYC Marathon. The support group meets at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.

Dystonia is a movement disorder that causes muscles to contract and
spasm involuntarily. Imagine having a pain like the leg cramp that
awakens you at night, but having it all of the time in one or many parts
of your body. That’s what the lives of many dystonia patients are like.

Dystonia affects hundreds of thousands of people in the USA.
ONE THIRD OF THEM ARE CHILDREN.

NY Road Runners requires each person running on a non-profit’s team to raise a minimum
of $2,500 for that organization. Last year, we raised nearly $40,000 for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.
