Serious Crash Closes Route 537 In Freehold Township: NJDOT
The closure is expected to be in place for several hours during the crash investigation.
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Motorists are urged to avoid Route 537 in the area of Freehold Raceway Mall while authorities investigate a serious motor vehicle accident, according to reports.
The Monmouth County Police, Fire & EMS Facebook page reported the road, also known as West Main Street, was closed from the mall entrance at Trotters Way to Walmart Drive "until further notice."
The state Department of Transportation information website, 511nj.org, said the right-turn lane and left-turn lane both are closed.

Monmouth County Police Fire & EMS said Freehold Township police and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team are investigating and the road will be closed for several hours. The page reported the crash involved a bicyclist.
The closure is affecting other roads in the area and motorists are urged to use caution.
