StoneDog Studios Turns Creative Ideas into Physical Reality for Stage, Screen, TV and Local Small Businesses

The latest creation of Freehold's StoneDog Studios is a bi-level, multi-purpose play structure that is delighting children at the new Apple Jams Music and Arts Play Center in Shrewsbury. Their Little Rockers music classes combine informal music education with performance based learning. Their music programs are designed to introduce children and adults to the world of music using group participation and directed performance. They are designed to encourage children, parents, siblings and friends to bond through musical experiences, movement, musical craft making and music games.

A design and fabrication scene shop, StoneDog Studios has been providing creative solutions for film, television, theater, photography, exhibits and marketing events since 2008. Clients range from NJ Performing Arts Center, to MTV, Kate Spade and the Food Network to local businesses.

When Apple Jams owners, Chris and Jessie Apple, were planning their new center they brought their ideas and a sketch to the StoneDog group. Owner, Quinn Stone started working with them and together, they refined the concept. Then the StoneDog team went to work on the final design and fabricated and installed the colorful combination stage, band stand, loft and clubhouse with musical note steps and a slide.

By encouraging parents to make music a part of their family activities, children reap the benefits in their intellectual and social development. "We strive to create music appreciation and a foundation that will carry over into formal instrument lessons after Kindergarten,” says Apple. "StoneDog Studios built the most incredible play structure for our new space," said Jesse Apple. "The kids that come to our school have been absolutely loving the fun music themed playspace. Every single parent that has walked in our doors has commented on how wonderful and cleaver the play structure is. With it’s unique and contemporary design it completely fits our branding and suits us perfectly."
