Summer and Weekly classes now enrolling.  Each course includes hands-on projects and whether a student is new to  filmmaking or comes with previous experience, the courses will help them  develop their professional skills.

Filmmaking:
This class is an intensive advanced course in the art and craft of  filmmaking. This course introduces students to the aspects of cinematography, including an overview of HD and HDSLR camera operation,  lighting equipment, lenses and aesthetic principles.  

Students will learn using digital and film cameras in a hands-on environment. This class teaches students the essential elements  producing a short film for festivals and competitions. Past and current students have won numerous local and national awards for their work.

Editing:
AVID Media Composer & User Certification (INDUSTRY is an Avid Authorized Education Center)This course provides students with exposure to the core skills,  workflows, and concepts involved in professional nonlinear editing on  Avid Media Composer systems. 

During the course you will use the Avid system to input and organize source footage, edit sync and non-sync material, trim sequences, adjust audio, create titles, and output work. The final product will be a finished program. Session time is divided between demonstration and hands-on practice.

Digital Audio Production Workstation:
INDUSTRY is pleased to offer a brand new program for students interested in audio production.  You’ll learn how to produce your own multi-track digital recordings, and gain a working knowledge of studio software.  Digital Audio Recording Technique and Production is a course that will take students through the procedures used to record and edit audio in a digital workspace.

Using industry standard software and hardware, students learn facets of audio creation such as tracking, mixing, mastering, and many other components to better utilize modern digital audio workstations.  Each student will leave this course with their own original musical compositions.

On-Camera Acting Intensive:
Learn the ins and outs of becoming a successful on-camera actor! Students will learn from working professionals in the industry about how to get an agent and successfully audition for roles, as well as experience taking direction and acting in an on-camera production. Most importantly, actors will gain confidence and feel fully prepared to start their career in acting.  An added plus…each student will take home a reel of their final performance!

Robert Nuzzi, the instructor for this course is a professional working actor.  He has developed a course specifically for INDUSTRY students looking to learn the acting techniques used for on-camera production.
