Sunday Night Jazz and Blues Concert Series Presented by The Freehold Borough Arts Council

The third year of the FBAC's Sunday Night Jazz and Blue Concert Series continues to grow and enrich downtown Freehold Borough

The Freehold Borough Arts Council (FBAC) is pleased to announce the line up for the 2015 Sunday Night Jazz and Blues concert Series. This will be the third year, for what has become a signature series for the FBAC. This year we are expanding the series from last years 8 shows to 11 shows this year starting on Sunday June 28th, 2015. The series will start with Freehold favorite “Billy J. Brown and Friends” and end on September 6th with “The Chuck Lambert Band.”

The eleven concerts are free to the public and will run each Sunday night from 7pm until 9pm in the downtown Freehold gazebo located just outside of 10 East Main Street, Freehold Borough. This is a perfect opportunity to finish summer weekends in beautiful Downtown Freehold Borough. Seating is provided by downtownfreehold.com or the public may eat at any number of out door restaurants and still enjoy the music.

FBAC board member Dru Anne Palaima and FBAC founding member Amy Caro- Brown have played a vital role in the success of the series. Both ladies are very active within the music community in Monmouth County and beyond. Among many things, Caro-Brown is a volunteer with the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation. Palaima also works closely with New Jersey blues acts including Gary C and Stone Blue, who she runs the largest weekly blues jam in the state with.

According to Dru Anne Palaima “I’m looking forward to another successful Jazz & Blues Concert Series in Freehold and would like to thank Jeff Friedman and Brian Sullivan for listening to my dream of bringing Jazz & Blues to Freehold NJ. Also, I appreciate the FBAC board of trustees who has been very supportive.”

FBAC president Jeff Friedman adds “From our early days, the FBAC has been interested in bringing jazz and blues to downtown Freehold. This successful and growing Sunday Night series has been a perfect fit, meeting our many goals as an art council. This series is one of the many programs the FBAC supports that has helped define Freehold Borough as a destination town for arts and music lovers. This concert series is free to the public and couldn’t happen without the FBAC volunteers and our sponsors.”
