Try "I Spy" On Your Next Family Walk!

Borough residents encourage families out for a walk to try and spot themed pictures around the neighborhood

(s.greitz)

Borough resident Sari Valenti, along with a group of neighbors and friends, decided to put their own spin on the popular game "I Spy." Valenti says "We wanted to come up with a fun distraction for the kids while school is closed and we are all practicing social distancing, and get some exercise at the same time."

Meant to add an a little extra entertainment to your family walks or bike rides, each week there will be a different theme. As you are walking around your neighborhood, look for pictures, words or even stuffed animals in the windows of participating houses.

Parents can ask their kids questions like "How many did we see today? Were they all the same or were they different?" They can also encourage the kids to share their favorite or even have them make their own picture and share it with their teacher.
