Vines of Life Walk - Raise a Toast, Raise Awareness for Mary's Place by the Sea
Laurita Winery hosts event and fundraiser for local non-profit Mary's Place by the Sea. Walk the vineyard and enjoy some wine.
On Sunday, October 2, 2016 Laurita Winery, located in New Egypt, NJ, will host Vines of Life Walk to raise awareness and support those fighting breast cancer and honor those who have lost their battle. Proceeds will go to support the mission of Mary’s Place by the Sea, a respite home for women with cancer that provide services that complement medical treatment, including oncology massages, nutrition education, individual counseling, reiki, spa services, guided meditation, yoga and more.
It’s not very often you see a fundraiser where folks walk through a vineyard listening to live music and enjoying wine and cheese tastings. Vines of Life Walk has been fundraising to help those with breast cancer every year since 2010. From humble beginnings with few participants, the race has grown to host nearly 800 guests, raising thousands of dollars to further the mission of providing early detection services for women and supporting women through healing services. Laurita Winery has generously donated over $45,000 to these worthy causes thus far.
Laurita is proud to support Mary’s Place by the Sea, located in Ocean Grove, NJ, that has been opened since 2009 and served over 6,000 women across the nation. People walk in honor of their grandmother, mother, aunt, sister or friend.
