Woman Killed, Two Injured In Freehold Township Crash, Police Say

The crash occurred in the area of Elton Adelphia Road and Iron Bridge Road in early July.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A woman was killed, and two other people were injured in a crash that took place earlier in July, Freehold Township Police said.

On July 6, at 1:09 p.m., Freehold Township police responded to the area of Elton Adelphia Road and Iron Bridge Road for a report of a serious motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers located three people who had sustained serious injuries, police said.

The driver of one of the involved vehicles, Anita Hacker, 80, of Freehold Township, was brought to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The two other people who were injured were brought to area hospitals for treatment. They did not release their identities.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, police said Monday.
