19th Annual Steve and Cookie's Dog Show Benefits Animal Rescues

Proceeds Benefit NJ Aid for Animals and Humane Society of Ocean City

The 19th Annual Steve and Cookie’s Dog Show and Contest will be held on Sunday, September 27th at 1 p.m. in conjunction with Margate’s Fall Funfest. This fall event has become a Jersey Shore tradition and Steve and Cookie’s Dog Show is, once again, proud to be a signature part of the festivities.

Combining philanthropy and fun, the show and contest will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Steve and Cookie’s By the Bay located at 9700 Amherst Ave. (corner of Amherst and Monroe Ave), Margate.

On-site registration for the contest is from Noon to 12:45 p.m. (or pre-register at Eventbrite.com at http://tinyurl.com/dogshow2015). This years’ theme is “Super Heroes.” The contest will award prizes for best super hero costume; looks most like owner; best dressed (large and small dog categories); prettiest and handsomest (large and small dog categories). The show starts at 1PM.

Registration fee is $20 per category per dog. Enter your faithful friend in one or all of the categories! Each entrant will be given an official event t-shirt and a doggie gift bag. Winners will receive generous gift certificates to Steve and Cookie’s award winning restaurant!

“I just can’t believe we are going into our 19th year of this event. The support of the community is wonderful and is a perfect way to end summer and welcome fall,” says Cookie Till, Steve and Cookie’s By the Bay owner and founder of the fundraising event.

Adoptable dogs will be available from NJ Aid for Animals (www.njafa.org) and Humane Society of Ocean City (www.hsocnj.org). Both organizations will receive 100% of the proceeds from the event.

There will be something for everyone: a demonstration from Atlantic City’s K-9 Unit at noon, judged events and pet prizes. Lots of food and music will be available in the parking lot, so grab lunch and enjoy Margate’s Funfest before and after the show.

Pooped out from Funfest and dog show? Well-mannered, leashed pooches and patrons are invited to kick back and grab a cocktail inside Steve and Cookie’s Oyster Bar during and after the Dog Show.
