2 Atlantic City Men Arrested With a Loaded Handgun, Heroin in Galloway Township: Police

They were arrested in the Smithville section of the township Friday afternoon.

Galloway Township, NJ -- Two Atlantic City men were arrested after police found them in possession of 155 individual bags of heroin, $1,381 in cash, and a Glock Model 19 handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets, Galloway Police said on Friday. The gun was reportedly stolen out of South Carolina.

Andre J. Jackson, 24, and Quaijuan Thomas, 24, were arrested in the Smithville section of the township just after 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.

They were the targets of a joint investigation conducted by the Galloway Police, Little Egg Harbor Police, and the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office Guns Gangs and Narcotics Unit.

Both Jackson and Thomas were charged with possession of CDS, distribution of CDS, possession of a weapon (handgun), possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, possession of prohibited ammunition, possession of a weapon during a CDS offense, receiving stolen property and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.

They were lodged in Atlantic County Jail in default of $150,000 bail.
