2 Men Charged in Burglary of Galloway Motel

David Rodriguez 25 of Galloway, and David Thomas, 29, of Philadelphia, Pa., were arrested on Wednesday.

Galloway Township, NJ -- Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of $170 in cash from The Budgetel Inn on the White Horse Pike, Galloway Township Police said on Wednesday.

David Rodriguez 25 of Galloway, and David Thomas, 29, of Philadelphia, Pa., were charged with burglary and multiple other offenses related to the burglary, which was reported at about 11:51 a.m. Wednesday morning.

They are accused of breaking into the motel office at the Bugetel Inn and stealing $170 in cash.

Motel management was able to provide police with video surveillance and a description of both suspects. Management also said they believe both men may have attempted to check into The Econo Lodge, which is also located on The White Horse Pike.

Police then went to The Econo Lodge and were able to find Rodriguez and Thomas in one of the motel rooms.  
Both men surrendered without incident and were placed in police custody.

They were both lodged in The Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.
