3 Shot At Pleasantville Football Game: Child Critical, 5 Arrested
Videos show the chaos that ensued after the shots were fired.

PLEASANTVILLE – A 31-year-old man is charged with three counts of attempted murder and weapons charges in connection to a shooting at high school football game in Pleasantville on Friday evening, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced on Saturday. The below videos show the chaotic scene.
A 27 year-old man who was shot is in stable condition and will be undergoing surgery, according to the ACPO. A 10-year-old shooting victim is in critical condition and a 15-year old male suffered a graze wound and was treated at the hospital and released, according to the ACPO.
“High school playoff football should be a cause for community celebration, not the backdrop for panic and terror," New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said. "I am grateful for the lifesaving swift actions of first responders to tend to the wounded, and our prayers are with the victims for a swift and full recovery."

After the shootings, the four men fled in a vehicle from the Absecon Police Department into Atlantic City. One of the passengers threw a gun out of the vehicle while entering Atlantic City, according to the ACPO.

Oh my goodness. A shooting at the Camden/Pleasantville game in the CJ-2 Semifinals.@BHSFootballTeam' coaches were there to watch their potential sectional final opponent. Head coach Jon Simoneau told me me they're all safe. Everyone in attendance was evacuated from the stadium. https://t.co/lO0EmZXHpq

Murphy said he's continuing to receive updates from law enforcement as officers continue the investigation into this "despicable and cowardly attack."
"Last night was a stark reminder that no community is immune from gun violence, and that we must not ever give up in our efforts to prevent such senseless acts,” he said.
The Atlantic County prosecutor also addressed the matter:
“I want to thank the Pleasantville Police Department and the scores of off duty emergency personnel that assisted the victims and helped law enforcement promptly identify and locate those responsible for causing mayhem at the Pleasantville High School football game. Unlike some of the shootings that have occurred on school premises throughout the country, this incident had nothing to do with the students of Pleasantville High School or Camden High School. The venue simply presented an opportunity for criminals to pursue their own form of petty vengeance against one another. As a result, an innocent child was caught and injured in their crossfire. Our community will not be held hostage by a few idiots intent on jeopardizing our safety and the safety of our children,” Tyner said.
