3 Busted For Human Trafficking In Atlantic County: Prosecutor

Three people were arrested this week in the human trafficking of a 23-year-old victim.

Three people from Massachusetts have been arrested and charged with human trafficking and prostitution of a 23-year-old victim in Atlantic County, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Galen Spriggs, 39; Jovana Jensen, 37; and Laraza White, 24, all of Revere, MA, were charged with one count of first-degree human trafficking and one count of third-degree promoting prostitution.

They were arrested on Monday and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing. The victim in the case is receiving services from the Dream Catcher Program.

Jensen and White’s detention hearings were set for Thursday morning. Spriggs’s detention hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 1.

They were arrested by members of the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, which consists of law enforcement officers from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department and the NJ Human Services Police Department. The investigation began when the FBI/CETF was contacted by the Atlantic City Police Department. It is ongoing.
