3 Injured in Galloway Car Crash

The crash occurred at the intersection of Great Creek Road and Sylvan Avenue Monday night.

Three people were hospitalized following an accident at the intersection of Great Creek Road and Sylvan Avenue Monday night, Galloway Township Police said.

Breanna Repnicki, 22, of Galloway, was driving a 2012 Honda Civic on Sylvan Avenue heading towards the intersection with Great Creek Road. She allegedly failed to stop and yield at the posted stop sign.

At that point, her car entered Great Creek Road and hit a 2007 Nissan Xterra driven by 18-year-old Matthew Swartz, of Galloway.

Repnicki and Swartz were both transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division for treatment of facial and neck injuries.

Repnicki’s 20-year-old male passenger, who was not identified, was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division for a head injury.

Repnicki was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to yield or stop at a stop sign.

Traffic on Great Creek Road was delayed for about one hour due to the motor vehicle accident.

The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad and Atlanticare Paramedics assisted Galloway Police with handling the accident.
