6 Men Indicted For Drug, Gun Trafficking In Egg Harbor City: Prosecutor
Five of the men, including the alleged leader, are from Egg Harbor City.

EGG HARBOR CITY, NJ — Six men, including five from Egg Harbor City, have been indicted in connection with the trafficking of illegal drugs and guns in the Pleasantville and Egg Harbor City areas, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
Kenneth Burrell, 40, Brian Foster, 19, Leonard D. Allen, 26, Scott Dorn, 18, and Tyshon Nieves, 25—all of Egg Harbor City— and Joshua Sims, 18, of Augusta, GA, were named in the indictment on multiple weapons and illegal firearms charges. Burrell is the alleged leader of the organization.
Burrell was also indicted on first-degree leader of narcotics trafficking network, which carries a sentence of life imprisonment, 25 year minimum mandatory of parole ineligibility if convicted. The court can run all handgun charges consecutive to that sentence.

The others are all charged with third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS). Burrell, Dorn, Sims, Allen, and Nieves face multiple charges connected to the unlawful possession of firearms.
On March 30, a total of 16 people were arrested and five search warrants were executed in the Egg Harbor City area. In addition to the arrests, 21 firearms, including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and automatic weapons were seized as a result of the raids, police said.

Police also said they recovered firearm ammunition, high capacity automatic weapon magazines, about 10 ounces of cocaine, and 10,000 bags of heroin and fentanyl.
Fentanyl is a drug that is 40 to 50 times more powerful than heroin. It is claiming the lives of thousands across the country.
The Galloway Township Police Department participated in the investigation, along with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit; the Pleasantville Police Department; the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); and New Jersey State Police, with the assistance of additional federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement agencies.
