7 In Atlantic County Have Now Died From Coronavirus

A 42-year-old Atlantic City man died from the virus, officials announced Friday.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City man died from the novel coronavirus, bringing Atlantic City's death toll to seven people as of Friday. The man was 42 and had underlying health conditions, according to county officials.

Atlantic County has reported 222 positive cases as of Friday, including 30 cases in Galloway.

The County announced 24 new cases Friday. Here is the breakdown of new cases by town:

  • Four: Egg Harbor Township, Galloway, Hamilton
  • Three: Atlantic City
  • Two: Hammonton, Weymouth Township
  • One: Buena, Buena Vista Township, Folsom, Mullica, Pleasantville

Atlantic County will provide COVID-19 drive-thru testing for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday behind the Hamilton Mall.
