An Absegami High School alum has been tabbed as one of the conference’s preseason Women’s Soccer Players to Watch by the Big 10, Rutgers University announced on Wednesday.
Junior back Erica Skroski was one of over 40 players to watch heading into Rutgers’ initial season of Big 10 play.
Skroski was a key member of a Rutgers backline that forced 11 shutouts and allowed just one goal over the final five contests of the season.

She started in all 22 games as a sophomore and averaged 92.2 minutes per match to lead the team.
Senior forward Stef Scholz (South Hackensack, N.J.), and and freshman midfielder Madison Tiernan (Voorhees, N.J.) were the other two Scarlet Knights named to the preseason Players to Watch List.
