Absegami to Meet Egg Harbor Township in First Round of Girls' Tennis Playoffs

Absegami is the No. 13 seed. The Braves lost to Egg Harbor Township on Sept. 13.

The first high school sports playoff season is right around the corner.

The girls’ tennis team playoffs are set to begin Thursday, with the individual and doubles state tournaments beginning this weekend.

Absegami is seeded No. 13 in South Jersey Group 4, and will face No. 4 Egg Harbor Township in the first round. Lenape earned the No. 1 overall seed.

The Braves are 7-5 this season. Egg Harbor Township is 6-0-1, including a 2-2 tie with Mainland on Sept. 20, according to nj.com.

Egg Harbor Township defeated Absegami, 3-2, on Sept. 13.
