Teen Charged In Fatal South Jersey Shooting: Prosecutor

A 15-year-old was charged with aggravated manslaughter after a man was found dead in Mullica Township, officials said.

MULLICA TWP., NJ — A 15-year-old Mullica Township resident was charged with aggravated manslaughter in a fatal shooting Friday, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Mullica police responded to a single motor vehicle crash Friday night in the area of Route 30 and Snow Hill Road, authorities said.

Upon arrival, officers found the driver, 19-year-old Mullica Township resident Javonte Stallworth, dead with a single gunshot wound to the head, officials said.

Witnesses told police that two people had fled from the scene on foot.

A short while later, two juvenile passengers who had been traveling with Stallworth found and detained, authorities said.

After questioning, one of the juveniles, identified as 15-year-old A.H., was charged with aggravated manslaughter, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, possession of a firearm without a serial number and possession of a firearm by a minor.

A.H. was lodged in Harbor Fields Juvenile Detention Center.
