Man Who Threatened To Kill Driver, Dog In Atlantic City Road Rage Incident Sentenced

MAYS LANDING, NJ — A Toms River man who threatened to kill another man and the man's dog during a road rage incident has been sentenced to prison, the Atlantic City Prosecutor's Office said.

Frank Marin, 29, was sentenced to three years in state prison on Tuesday by Superior Court Judge Christine Smith on one count of third-degree terroristic threats, the prosecutor's office said.

Marin had pleaded guilty to the charge in July.

The incident happened Sept. 12, 2025, on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Atlantic City.

The victim told Atlantic City police that after he stopped for an ambulance crossing an intersection, a white Nissan Altima, driven by Marin, ran a red light and almost collided with his vehicle.

The two drivers confronted each other on MLK Boulevard and the victim told Marin that he almost hit his vehicle. As he tried to leave, Marin cut his vehicle off from the passenger side and began threatening him, the victim told police.

Marin then told the victim he would kill him and his dog, grabbed a taser from his vehicle and approached the victim's car, police said.

The victim pulled forward and hit Marin's Nissan, and Marin got in his car and took off, police said.
