ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — Atlantic County law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Marshals Service said four of the county's most wanted fugitives were arrested over five days in Pleasantville, Egg Harbor City and Atlantic City.
According to the announcement, members of the U.S. Marshals Service-led New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office, and state and local law enforcement partners made the arrests during coordinated fugitive investigations in Atlantic County and surrounding communities. The release also said an additional most wanted fugitive was captured by the Pleasantville Police Department, for a total of five, but it did not identify that person.
The arrests began Aug. 28, when task force members arrested Brian Nixon in Pleasantville. According to the release, Nixon was wanted for Failure to Appear in connection with charges stemming from alleged stalking, home invasion and burglary.
The same day, investigators arrested Oratile Moeng in Egg Harbor City. The announcement said Moeng was wanted for Failure to Appear in connection with possession of child pornography.
On Aug. 31, members of the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Dominick Haynes in Atlantic City. According to the release, Haynes was wanted for Failure to Appear in connection with charges involving sexual assault, sexual conduct with a minor, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
On Sept. 1, task force members arrested Danna Jeffrey-Pope in Atlantic City. The release said Jeffrey-Pope was wanted for Failure to Appear in connection with a conspiracy robbery charge.
"These four arrests underscore the continued partnership between the U.S. Marshals Serivice, the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office, and our task force partners in locating and apprehending these individuals wanted for serious offenses," the announcement states.
"The successful apprehension of these fugitives highlights the strength of our partnership with the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office. Their investigators bring invaluable local knowledge, experience and commitment to our task force," said Nicholas Ricigliano, Acting U.S. Marshal for the District of New Jersey. "By combining our resources, we were able to aggressively pursue these individuals to ensure they were brought before the court to answer the charges against them."
The U.S. Marshals Service said the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force includes members from state, county, local and federal agencies across New Jersey and the surrounding region. The agency said it remains committed to tracking fugitives and working with partner agencies to enhance community safety.
