MAYS LANDING, NJ — A Pleasantville man admitted to sexually assaulting his own children when they were underage and to dealing cocaine in separate incidents, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Roberto Perez-Solis, 44, pleaded guilty in Atlantic County to several pending criminal cases, including first-degree distribution of CDS, two counts of second-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree terroristic threats.
The plea calls for a total of 12 years in New Jersey State Prison on the CDS distribution charge. It also requires Perez-Solis to serve 85 percent of six years in New Jersey State Prison on the sexual assault charges, along with a concurrent three-year state prison term on the terroristic threats charges. Following his release from prison, he will be supervised on parole for three additional years.
The release also states that Perez-Solis will be a registered sex offender under Megan's Law and must serve parole supervision for life as a sex offender.
According to the release, the drug case stemmed from a proactive investigation conducted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office in 2021 into drug distribution operations within Atlantic County. During August and November of that year, Perez-Solis made multiple sales of cocaine exceeding five ounces in total weight, according to the document.
The sexual assault cases were described as separate matters that surfaced in early 2025. According to the release, two adult children of Perez-Solis went to Atlantic City police and disclosed that he had touched them inappropriately years earlier when they were both children younger than 13. The adult victims did not disclose the abuse until a decade later because they were fearful they would not be believed and fearful of how Perez-Solis would react, authorities said.
