Arson Investigation Launched After Galloway New Year's Eve Fire
An abandoned building caught fire on New Year's Eve. Authorities say it may have been intentionally set.
GALLOWAY, NJ β Authorities are investigating a New Year's Eve structure fire in Galloway as potential arson.
Police first received a report of a structure fire on the 400 block of South Odessa Avenue at about 9:41 a.m. on Dec. 31, according to a news release.
Upon arrival, cops found an abandoned building on the south side of White Horse Pike engulfed in flames.

The blaze was extinguished, and White Horse Pike was closed for about four-and-a-half hours as firefighters battled, police said.
No one was injured in the fire, and it did not spread to surrounding land or property, according to police.

An initial inspection found evidence that the fire may have been set intentionally, police said. An investigation remains ongoing.
