Assembly, Senate to Consider Five-Bill Package Aimed at Helping Atlantic City
The Assembly will vote on the package June 11, and the Senate will vote on June 25.

A five-bill package aimed at aiding Atlantic City will be considered by both the State Assembly and Senate in June, Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo said on Tuesday.
The five bills to be voted on include:
· A3981/S2572 – Casino Property Taxation Stabilization Act;

· A3982/S2573 – Requires holder of casino license to provide certain employees with certain health care and retirement benefits;
· A3983/S2574 – Authorizes supplemental State aid to school districts in municipality with significant decrease in commercial property valuation; makes appropriation;

· A3984/S2575 – Reallocates casino investment alternative tax to Atlantic City to pay debt service on municipal bonds issued; and
· A3985/S2576 – Removes provisions of law relating to Atlantic City Alliance.
They were introduced last year as four of Atlantic City’s 12 casinos closed. They have stalled since, but two votes have been scheduled for next month.
The Assembly will vote on the package on June 11. The Senate will vote on June 25.
