Atlantic Cape Offers Computer Labs to Displaced Casino Workers
Labs will be available by appointment beginning Sept. 15.

Atlantic Cape Community College offers casino workers who will be displaced by the casino shutdowns a place to search for work.
The college will offer its computer labs and additional resources to displaced employees. Computers will be available by appointment beginning Sept. 15.
Displaced workers must present a casino ID and bring a USB drive to save their work, or purchase a low-cost print card at campus libraries.

Lists of career exploration and resume-building websites will be provided.
“Atlantic Cape Community College is an integral part of the Atlantic City community, and we stand poised to assist those in need with numerous programs and training opportunities,” College President Dr. Peter L. Mora said.

The Revel announced on Friday that it would close its hotel on Sept. 1, and the casino on Sept. 2.
In January, the Atlantic Club closed, and Trump Plaza is scheduled to close in September.
Showboat is set to close its doors Aug. 31.
Available locations and times for computer lab use include:
· Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd., Room 145. Mondays, 9-11 a.m., Wednesdays, 2-4 p.m., and Fridays, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Workers affected by the pending closure of Atlantic City casinos are invited to learn more about Atlantic Cape programs at an Open House Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.
