Atlantic City Cop Pointed Gun At Wife, Assaulted Her: Police
Warren Young, an Atlantic City police officer, is suspended without pay after being accused of domestic violence, authorities said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City police officer is accused of abusing his wife, pointing a gun at her in one incident and threatening her with scissors in another, according to authorities.
The cop, 29-year-old Warren Young, has been suspended without pay following his charges of unlawful possession of a weapon (two counts), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, harassment and simple assault. The Brigantine resident has been an Atlantic City police officer since April 2019, the Atlantic City Police Department said.
Detectives were alerted to domestic violence incidents involving Young and his wife during several days in 2024 on Dec. 18, police said in a news release.

The department's criminal investigations and internal affairs departments launched an investigation into the allegations, resulting in Young being charged.
Young now sits in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
