Atlantic City Driver Runs Over Woman, Pins Her Under Car: Police
A woman suffered serious injuries after the driver struck and pinned her underneath the car, police said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ β An intoxicated Atlantic City driver struck a woman and pinned her under the car, seriously injuring the victim, police said. The Atlantic City Fire Department freed the woman from underneath the Honda Accord.
Police responded to the incident at 10:52 p.m. Sunday on the 800 block on New Hampshire Avenue. The driver, Ashley Barksdale, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Authorities will determine additional charges for the 34-year-old with more investigation.
Barksdale struck a parked car and then ran over the victim, police said. She was released on a summons with a future court date.

Officials took the victim to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Division.
