NJ Workers Shocked When Ladder Hits Power Lines, Report Says

Two workers were hospitalized after their ladder accidentally hit power lines, according to a report.

MARGATE, NJ — Two workers were hospitalized after they got shocked when their ladder accidentally hit power lines, according to a report.

They were found unconscious by police at South Coolidge Avenue near the corner of Pacific Avenue in Margate at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, NJ Advance Media reported.

Police performed CPR on the two men, who were taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a Philadelphia hospital, according to the report.

There was no update on their status.

Atlantic City Electric told Patch that the workers were not company employees.

"We are aware of an incident that occurred in Margate City, N.J. involving two workers on October 30. Our thoughts are with the individuals impacted by this event," Atlantic City Electric told Patch. "The safety of our customers, employees and contractors is always our top priority. We are working closely with local authorities and are continuing to investigate this matter."
