Atlantic City's Iconic Steel Pier For Sale At $85 Million

The classic Jersey Shore amusement park is being offered as a redevelopment opportunity.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Jersey Shore landmark is up for grabs - and a new owner could make drastic changes to the 128-year-old amusement park.

Atlantic City's Steel Pier is for sale for $85 million. The sale of the historic attraction was initially reported by the New York Post. It's being listed by Ryan Serhant, Michele Zyska and Kevin Bergin of Serhant.

Constructed in 1898 and once billed as the "Showplace of the Nation," the listing offers a rare opportunity to own one of the Jersey Shore's most iconic amusement parks.

“The Steel Pier isn’t just 5 acres on the most famous boardwalk in the world, it actually offers the chance to own the Atlantic itself and build something unforgettable on top of it,” Serhant said, according to the New York Post.

It doesn't have to remain an amusement park. According to The Post, the existing pier footprint could be expanded by 25 percent, and an existing sky bridge connects the pier to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

The property was previously approved for a hotel-condo plan that fell through.

“Executing on a condo-hotel plan would probably be my first plan,” Serhant told The Post. “You have the rare ability to build out over the ocean itself.”
