Atlantic County Road Work Affected by Shutdown As Of Friday

Gov. Chris Christie is playing hardball with the New Jersey Legislature, and is vowing to go through with a planned shutdown of all roadwork projects in the state starting Friday, after the Senate refused his proposal to raise the state’s gas tax.

Also, bridge and tunnel maintenance work will be suspended statewide. All federally funded work, or projects necessary for safety reasons will continue, Christie said.
