Atlantic County Woman Shot, Killed Monday Morning: Prosecutor

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ — A woman was killed after being shot early Monday morning in Pleasantville, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Pleasantville police responded to the 1000 block of Iowa Avenue on May 23 at about midnight.Jazmen Martin-Richardson, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene after authorities found her with a gunshot wound, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill said. Medical personnel tried to revive Martin-Richardson but were unable to, Shill said.

This is an active, ongoing investigation between the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department, Shill said.
