AtlantiCare's First 2020 Baby Born In Pomona (PICS)

Marley Dion Burroughs was born 58 minutes into the new year. Both parents are teachers.

GALLOWAY, NJ — AtlantiCare welcomed their first baby of the new year. Marley Dion Burroughs was born at 12:58 a.m. New Year's Day at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus in Pomona.

Marley weight 6 pounds, 13.1 ounces and was 21 inches long. Her due date was Dec. 27, so her parents prepared for the possibility of a Christmas baby. But Marley had other plans.

Parents Hollisha Bridgers and Marvin Burroughs, of Egg Harbor Township, are both teachers. Bridgers teaches fourth grade at Miller Elementary in Egg Harbor Township. Burroughs works with third- and fourth-graders at New York Avenue School in Atlantic City.
