Body Of Missing North Jersey Man Found 100+ Miles Away: Police

Isaac L. Bishop was reported missing out of Essex County. His body was found in a heavily wooded area of Atlantic County, police said.

WEYMOUTH, NJ — The body of a missing Essex County man was found more than 100 miles away from home in the woods of South Jersey, New Jersey State Police said.

Isaac L. Bishop, 33, was reported missing out of Irvington on June 11, a NJSP spokesperson told Patch. State police were notified of the investigation on June 13.

Then, on June 30, police found Bishop's body in a heavily wooded area near 13th Avenue in Weymouth Township, Atlantic County police said.

It's not clear how or why Bishop got so far from home, and no cause of death was released.

The investigation remains ongoing, police said, and no further information was immediately available.
