Boston Marathon 2022: Atlantic County Represented
The Boston Marathon returns April 18, and Atlantic County residents will be among the 30K participants.

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — Thirty-thousand participants will cross the starting line April 18 at the 2022 Boston Marathon. A few of them are Atlantic County residents.
For the first time since 2019, the Boston Marathon will take place on Patriots' Day — a Massachusetts holiday commemorating the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War. The day begins with military marchers at 6 a.m., with several waves of athletes beginning the race in Hopkinton throughout the morning.
The following racers live in Atlantic County, according to the Boston Athletic Association, which hosts the marathon:

There are several ways to track participants on race day:
- Download the Boston Athletic Association's racing app, which is free on iPhone and Android devices.
- Follow along on the B.A.A. website, which will change April 18 to allow people to track runners on race day.
- Sign up for AT&T text alerts, which will text you when your favorite athlete reaches certain race milestones and crosses the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.
