Boy, 6, Fatally Struck On South Jersey Highway: Report

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ — A 6-year-old boy was fatally struck by a vehicle on an Atlantic County highway Sunday evening, according to a report.

Police responded to the area of Black Horse Pike and Noahs Road in Pleasantville at about 9:30 p.m., according to NJ.com.

The unidentified boy entered the roadway and was struck by a vehicle heading west on Black Horse Pike, according to the report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 31-year-old driver, a Pleasantville resident, remained on the scene, the report said.

The crash remains under investigation.
