Broadway Holiday Show Bringing Holiday Cheer To Resorts Casino Hotel

Featuring the stars of Les Misérables Ron Sharpe & Barbra Russell

Broadway Holiday Show brings a magical journey through Broadway and the holiday season to Resort Casino Hotel’s Superstar Theater, featuring music from top Broadway shows and seasonal classics. Numerous shows are set starting Sunday, November 8th and continuing through Tuesday, December 29th.

Sharpe and Russell met while performing as the young romantic leads in Les Misérables. After being married in character hundreds of times, they married in real life and have since performed and produced many shows on Broadway, including The Scarlet Pimpernel, A Tale of Two Cities, King David, The Civil War, Sweeney Todd and The Fantastiks. They have also performed special concerts for the President of the United States, President and Prime Minister of Singapore and President of Ireland. Ron has performed as Jean Valjean on Broadway and in the newest version of Les Misérables while Barbra performed in a special engagement with Tony Bennett and Queen Latifah. Together, they have several CD’s including “Sweethearts,” the music of Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, “Broadway Classics” and “Happy Holidays.”

Along with Barbra and Ron, Broadway Holiday Show includes their daughter Samantha Sharpe who recently won a “Rising Star Award” for outstanding new talent, as well as other guest stars.

ABOUT RON SHARPE

Ron Sharpe was the first actor to have played both male leads of Marius and Jean Valjean in Les Misérables on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include original productions of The Scarlet Pimpernel’s Lord Hal, The Civil War’s Private Conrad Bock and with Sir Tim Rice and Alan Menken in Disney’s King David. One of his favorite roles was as the stoker Fred Barret in Titanic. Ron’s television credits include several appearances on The Rosie O’Donnell Show, The Tony Awards on CBS and at the NBA All Star Game in Madison Square Garden. Ron reprised his role of Jean Valjean in the 25th anniversary production of Les Misérables which returned to Broadway in 2014. He was also featured in the production of Sweeney Todd at “Live at Lincoln Center” starring Emma Thompson. Additionally, Ron and Barbra produced A Catered Affair and A Tale of Two Cities on Broadway and are the proud parents of four children that love to sing.

ABOUT BARBRA RUSSELL

Barbra Russell performed as the lead role of Cosette in Broadway’s Les Miserables. Favorite shows include as Luisa in The Fantastiks, and Laurie in Oklahoma among others. She has performed across the country from Chicago, Florida, New Jersey and New York, and overseas from Singapore to Ireland. Worldwide and U.S. concerts include a performance for the President and Prime Minister of Singapore and performances at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland. Barbra can be heard on many TV and radio commercials as a voice over artist, and she had the pleasure to perform with Tony Bennett at the U.S. Open.

Barbra, along with husband Ron Sharpe, served as Executive Producers of the Broadway musical A Tale of Two Cities, and for the International Cast Recording and TV show A Tale of Two Cities in Concert. She was also a Producer of the Broadway musical A Catered Affair with Harry Fierstein, Faith Prince and Tom Wopat. She conceived, produced and performed on the CD Sweethearts, the music of Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, and produced the concept recording of A Tale of Two Cities.
