Building a Multicultural World: Workshops create better racial and ethnic understanding

Worshop

GALLOWAY – The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Jersey Shore (UUCSJS) will offer a free monthly workshop, Building a Multicultural World, beginning Tuesday, November 11th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the UU Center at 75 S. Pomona Road at the corner of Liebig Street.

Building a Multicultural World is a Unitarian Universalist program that seeks to interrupt the workings of racism and transform how people from different racial and ethnic groups understand and relate to one another. It consists of two-hour workshops with activities, reflections and readings to be done between workshops. Co-coordinators Primrose Reeves and Shelee McIlvaine say that by developing habits and skills that are anti-racist, anti-oppressive and multicultural, we can create a world of beloved community.
