Car Recovered From River In Ongoing NJ Death Investigation

The man was last seen driving his 2015 green Dodge Charger "Hellcat." His body and his car were recovered.

SOUTH JERSEY β€” State Police announced on Monday that they've recovered a vehicle that's connected to the discovery of a man's remains in a South Jersey creek a month ago.

The discovery of Quanyaves Lindsay's car in a Cumberland County river follows the November disappearance of the 41-year-old Egg Harbor City man. State Police found his remains in a Cumberland County creek last month, and identified Lindsay on Jan. 16 as the victim.

Police found Lindsay's car in the same town where they discovered his remains, but not the same waterway.

The Egg Harbor City man was a lifelong car lover. More than 100 car enthusiasts gathered for a memorial at the Mays Landing VFW Hall, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

In a post on the Search for Quan Lindsay Facebook group, family friend Brandi Mounts wrote, β€œI want to thank everyone for your kind thoughts, prayers and shares! It’s with a heavy heart that we need to let everyone know Quan has been found. It is now an active investigation and not much more can be said beyond that.”

Mounts set up a GoFundMe on behalf of Lindsay's wife to support his funeral costs.

"Had the pleasure of getting to know Quan during my brief stint at OG and when he and Liz would come to the pub," said one donor. "Just an all around nice guy!"

"Quan was such a kind and funny and all around great person," said another donor. "He always made me laugh."
